This heater has a clean design with a modern look that will fit in with any decor. This heater is a great alternative to an electric fireplace. I have another durflame lantern heater and the sides stay cool to the touch. They liked the digital display of the thermostat which monitors the temperature and turns off the heater when it overheats.

Much better than the oil heaters i ve used in the past. We gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the first one we ordered had a malfunctioning light. I had tried an edenpure that was rated for 500 sq ft rooms but it didn t come close to heating the room. The bigger duraflame fireplace heaters really don t do much so how effective is a lantern. I use this in my spa and it is so beautiful.

Furthermore it does not heat 1000 sq ft 400 500 is more realistic. 1 500 watt electric infrared cabinet heater. According to the vendor it heats the same as their larger quartz heaters i think it is 6 degrees for a 1000sq foot room. The room is only around 200 sq ft but it has vaulted ceilings.
